Tues. 4 It has been snowing all day, but it cleared off this evening. Helped drive cattle to M. Hicks and went to Warren and Nora and went to church at night.

Wed. 5 Weather fair but cold. fourteen degrees below zero. Went after a lode of wood in the forenoon and hauled straw in the afternoon.

Thur. 6 weather fair but cold. 4 below zero. It has been below zero all day. Hauled two load of wood and went over to the corner and got a new ax handle. Henry Richards and Charley Stanton were here in the evening.

Fri. 7 Weather fair but cold. 30 degrees below zero. Went over to Jr. Richard’s in the forenoon & hauled manure in the afternoon.

Sat. 8 Weather snow in the forenoon. Four in the afternoon. Cut wood in the forenoon and hauled in the afternoon. Went to the Licium [Lincicum?] in the evening. 4 above zero.

Sun. 9 Weather fair. 4 above zero. Went to church in the morning at Chelsea. Went to Bawden’s to dinner and to Nigerville to church and to church in the evening at Chelsea.

Thur. 13 Weather fair all day till night then it snowy. Hauled one load of hogs for John West to Nora in forenoon and cut and hauled wood in the afternoon. Went to meeting in the evening. Done chores Eaustice.

Fri. 14 weather stormy. Snowed all day till evening then cleared up. Chopped and hauled wood and sacked oats in the evening.

Sat. 15 Weather stormy in the forenoon. Fair in the afternoon. Hauled oats to Nora. Noel Basinger came here in evening and we went to the littery in the evening.

Sun. 16 Weather cloudy. Went to church in the morning and stayed to Sunday school and went to church in the evening.

Mon. 17 Weather cold. wind blowing hard & snow drifting. Hauled one load of oats to Nora and went over to Gobel’s in the evening. Wind still blowing hard still below zero this morning.

Tues. 18 Weather fair but cold. 4 below zero. Broke the pond over to Gobel’s in the forenoon and sorted potatoes in the afternoon.

Wed. 19 Weather cloudy part of the day. Hauled two loads of oats to Nora. Mr. Basinger and Rathbone & ladies were here to dinner.

Thur. 20 Weather cloudy. Thawing in the morning and cold in afternoon. Went to Lena and went home with Noel Baysinger and went down to Mr. Shultz in the evening. Stayed at Baysinger’s all night.

Fri. 21 Weather 2 below zero. Fair in the forenoon cloudy in the afternoon rain in the evening. Visiting at Baysinger’s. Went to west point in the forenoon and to Rathburn in the evening. Party busted in the evening.

Sat. 22 Weather stormy rained all day. Left Noel Baysinger’s in the morning. Came to west point and took the train and went to Warren and walked home. Got went walking through the slush and rain.

Sun. 23 Weather frozen in the night. it snowed most all day. The snow drifted cleared of in the evening. Stayed home all day. Mr. Medcalf was here for dinner.
