PREFACE TO SECOND EDITION.
So generous and hearty a reception was accorded “Our Own Cook Book” upon its appearance before the public the first editon has become exhausted. In response to many repeated requests for copies of the book this second edition carefully revised and enlarged has been prepared. As it is impossible to trace the author of many receipts the names prefixed to the receipts in this book are those of the persons by whom they have been contributed and by whom they are fully endorsed. We trust this little volume will receive as warm a welcome and will prove as helpful as its predecessor.
