I have found in the 1880 Census of Apple River TWP, Jo Daviss County Hugh Lamont age 48 and a widower. It is my belief that one of his children, Elizabeth is who I am
looking for. I would like his wife's name and any other information would be appreciated. I beleive the family moved to Iowa where Elizabeth married a Frank Munson.

My mother is the oldest child of Alfred and Gerta Temperly. She was born in Council Hill 6/28/08. Her mother came to American from Sweden in approximately 1905. Alfred's
father was Thomas Temperly, but there are several Thomases and I'm trying to determine what was his middle initial for sure. Thomas was married to Sarah J. Temperly
before being married to Edna Anderberg Temperly, Alfred's father. Any information is welcomed. My cousin Joanne Temperly has done much more than me. She is the daughter
of Thomas and Edna's son, Charlie Temperly and grew up in Scales Mound.

I am seeking information on the WAX family who emigrated from Germany in 1847; landed in St Louis and remained there briefly before going to Potosi, Wisc. In 1850 they
are in Galena, where Korbenia WAX is listed on the US Census as age 43, and a tailor. His wife is Krescencia KLOTZ (spelled various ways including Crasence. Her age is 36
in the 1850 Census. Children include Pauline, age 13, Frances, age 6, and Joseph Antone, age 1, born in Illinois. ALso listed with the family is George Klotz, age 24,
cabinet maker. I assume he is Crasence's brother.

Looking for information on two relatives who stopped off in Galena, IL on their way to IA and SD. James Owen Rourk was a stone mason who was born in Ireland in 1815 and
left IL before 1860. He married Bridget Dalton in IA but her parents (Matthew and Mary GARVEY DALTON) and a sister (name unknown) were also in Galena about 1846. She and
her parents moved on but left the sister behind in Galena. Can anyone assist me in learning more about these families? Thanks

Jeremiah Carroll is a son of John Carroll and Johanna Buckley. As well as Jeremiah there were Denis, Michael, Cornelius, Mary and Robert that settled in Jo Daviess County
in the 1850's. (possibly a John but I am not sure on him). Another son Timothy came in the 1860. Jeremiah, Denis, Robert, Cornelius and Timothy are all buried in Plum
River Catholic Cemetery, by Emloville. This cemetery is refered to as "The old Catholic Cemetery". I am in the process of trying to flesh out these branches and it is
entirely possible that the Joe and Daniel mentioned are decendents of these brothers. Can you shed any more light on Joe?
