"Massbach Marriage Records for Sale"

The first three marriage registers of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church of Massbach are now available in book form for local history buffs and family historians.

The marriage records from 1859 to 1932 have been translated from the original German, transcribed, and indexed by Jo Daviess County native, Joel Zink.

The soft-cover, spiral-bound, 37 page book contains an early historical overview of the congregation, marriage records, and an index of all the surnames in the records.

Translations of the early baptismal, burial, confirmation, and Communion records are planned in the future.
