The following obituary is for Sadie (Mrs. P. H.) (Charter) Brinker. I received it from the Ontario, CA main library. They did not identify the newspaper they got it from. I have searched the Galena newspaper and did not find an obituary for her. My thought is that's because she was the last of Charles W. and Mary (Rodgers) Charter's children to die and there was no family left in Galena at the time of her death.

Mrs. Sadie E. Brinker, wife of Peter H. Brinker, well-known Cucamonga district citrus rancher, died early today at their home, 202 Ramona avenue, at the age of 69 years.  A native of Illinois, Mrs. Brinker had resided in Cucamonga for the last eight years, having come here from Long Beach.  She was a member of Bethel Congregational church.  Funeral services are to be conducted Saturday, 2 p. m., at the chapel of J. B. Draper & Company, 127 West C street.  The Rev. Charles L. Knight, pastor of Bethel church, will officiate.  Interment will be made at Bellevue cemetery.

NOTE: Sadie E. (Charter) Brinker was born November 17, 1867 in Jo Daviess county; she died April 15, 1937 in Cucamonga, San Bernardino county, CA.
