ROBERT L. BRASHAW

Robert L. Brashaw, 65, of Stockton, died at noon on Friday, June 17, 1988, in the Morgan Memorial Home following a long illness.

He was born in Pleasant Valley Township on Aug. 23, 1922 the son of George and Iva (Westaby) Brashaw. He married Ruth Pash in Warren on Feb. 24, 1946.

He had formerly farmed and then was employed for the past 10 years with Spahn & Rose Lumber Co.

He was a World War II Veteran, having served in the European Theater; a member of Wesley United Methodist Church; Plum River Masonic Lodge 554; Director of the Stockton Co-operative Association, and the Stockton & Wards Grove Mutual Insurance Co.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of Stockton; one son, Robert, Jr. of Oregon, Ill.; one brother, Burell of Stockton; three sisters, Ruth Harrison of Loves Park, Eula (Mrs. Richard) Wienand, Sr. of Warren, and Phyllis (Mrs. Jack) Hale of Milton, Ohio; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 20, 1988, at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bradford Wilson officiating. Friends called from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday at the Hermann Funeral Home where Masonic services were held at 8p.m. Burial was in Ladies Union Cemetery.

Pallbearers ere William Platt, Burrell Coppernoll, Warren Parker, Orin Balbach, Robert VenHuizen, Sr., and Glenn Williams.
