Edward William Heller, 67, of 2425 Division Street, died at his residence at 6am Tuesday after a brief illness. The body may be viewed after 7pm Tuesday at the Haudenshield funeral home, 2170 Central Avenue, from where the funeral services will be held at 2:30pm Thursday, with the Rev. Fred Landdeck officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.

Born in Galena, Ill., Aug 14, 1881, he moved to Dubuque with his parents when a small child. He was employed as a cigar maker for 30 years; later was employed at the Northome Furniture Company, and most recently at Dubuque Packing Company. He was a member of the Maccabee lodge and the A.M.C. and B. W. of North America, local 150.

Survivors are two sons, Robert Leo Heller, Columbia, MO., and Harold James Heller, Dubuque; one grandchild, Richard James Heller; one brother, Charles H Heller, East Dubuque, and three sisters, Mrs. Amanda Berkley, Dubuque, Mrs. Viola Behrens, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Wallace Drake, Seattle, Wash.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife on Dec 29, 1944.

DEATH SUMMONS FOR LEO V. HELLER
Well Known Dubuquer Passes Away After Short Illness

Leo V. Heller, 29 years old, passed away at Mercy Hospital Wednesday evening at 6 o'clock after a three weeks' illness with pneumonia.

The deceased was born in Galena April 5, 1889, and when a small boy moved to East Dubuque where he spent the early part of his life. For the past sixteen years he had been a resident of this city and for the past few years had been employed at the Dubuque Fruit Company. He was a faithful member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church and also a member of the following Moose: Moose and Legioneers, Eagles, and Woodmen of the World.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Helen; one son, Roland, a daughter, Helen, his mother, Mrs. Mary Heller, East Dubuque; and four siblings, Charles of East Dubuque, William, of Shawandasee, Harry, Butte, Montana, and Edward Heller of this city; five sisters, Mrs. William King, Mrs. Bert Moffatt, Mrs. John Berkley, and Mrs. John Hall, all of this city, and Mrs. Andrew Hinschasi of Butte, Montana.

The funeral services will be held from the late residence, 869 Iowa (wording cut off) Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in Linwood cemetery.

(The funeral for) Mrs. Joseph (Amanda) Berkley, 97, of the Luther Manor Nursing Home, formerly of 1200 Main St., will be at 10am Saturday at the Egelhof-Casper-Streuber Funeral Home, 1145 Locust St. Burial will be in East Dubuque (ILL) Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 10am Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Berkley worked at Lady of Lourdes Rest Home until retiring.

She was born June 4, 1891, in Galena, Ill, daughter of Karl {sic Charles} and Maria (Kern) Heller. She died Thursday, April 6, 1898, at Luther Manor Nursing Home. Her husband Joseph died in 1949. She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church.

Surviving are nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet.

Memorials may be given to Luther Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Walter H Behrens

Mrs. Walter H (Viola) Behrens, 82, of Reedsburg, formerly of Dubuque, died Friday at the Reedsburg Hospital. Her first husband, John L Hall, also a former Dubuquer, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10:30 am Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Reedsburg, with burial at 3pm Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Dubuque. Friends may call after 4:30 pm Sunday at the Hammer Funeral Home, Reedsburg.

Surviving besides her husband, Dr. Walter H Behrens, DD, are four daughters, Mrs I H Kuester of Oshkosh, WI, Mrs. George Erpelding and Mrs. Arnold Gremmels, both of Dubuque, and Mrs. James F. Behrens of Reedsburg; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Amanda Berkley of Dubuque.

Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church Organ fund.
