Casper Fehr, 82, Dies at Local Nursing Home

Casper Fehr, 82, born in Switzerland November 2, 1859 died at the Chandler Nursing Home on Mars Avenue Wednesday, June 23, after suffering from ill health for several years.

Mr. Fehr came to America when he was a young man and entered farming. He made his home in Galena for a number of years and is well known by people of Galena and Elizabeth. He never married, and was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. He is survived by one sister, Eliza, living in Switzerland.

The funeral will be held Friday at 8:30 a.m. from the Furlong Chapel Home, and from St. Michael's Catholic church at 9 o'clock. Burial will be made in the family lot at St. Michael's cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel this evening.
