Eugene Thomas Liddle, 56, a guard at the Savanna ordnance depot, of 2600 1/2 Central avenue died at 1:30 Sunday morning in Finley after a short illness. The body is resting at Haudenshield funeral home, 2170 Central avenue, from where the funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Burial will be in the East Dubuque cemetery. Born in East Dubuque Nov. 22, 1889, he had resided in this city for 20 years. He was a member of the Dubuque post of the American Legion. Survivors are his wife Laura Heller Liddle; one son Jack in the army air force serving overseas; two sisters, Mrs. Richard Heller, East Dubuque; and Mrs. Ed. Stoffregen, Dubuque; and two brothers, Floyd Liddle, of this city, and Roy Liddle, East Dubuque. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Liddle, and one son.

Services for Mrs. Laura Liddle, 85, of 3503 Laurel Lane, Hazel Crest, Ill., formerly of East Dubuque, will be held at 2pm Friday at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9pm Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Liddle, the former Laura Heller, was born in Dubuque, Her husband Eugene, died in 1946. Surviving are a son, Jack of Hazel Crest, and two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

EAST DUBUQUE INFANT CALLED BY DEATH
Eugene Thomas Liddle, Jr., only child of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Liddle of East Dubuque, died at Finley hospital, Dubuque, Thursday morning at 11:40 o'clock, following a two week's illness.

He was born in Dubuque on March 23, 1923. Besides his parents he leaves his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Heller, and J. S. Liddle of East Dubuque.
