HARRY O. POSEY PASSES AWAY SUDDENLY AT HOME He was born Feb. 26, 1902 in Stockton township and was a son of Ransom and Mary Gertrude Posey. He was married to Mabel Endriss in 1922. Later he married Hilda Smith in Cedar Lake, Ind., on Aug 25, 1956.

Harry was widely-known and respected. He was a hardworking man and farmed six miles northwest of Stockton in Rush township. For the past 25 years he was owner and operator of a limestone and rock quarry there.

Besides his wife, he leaves three sons; Robert of Stockton; Norman, Rockford and Charles, Dakota; five daughters: Mrs. Emerson (Dorothy) Collins, Dakota; Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Pearson and Mrs. Delbert (Barbara) Carley, both of Freeport; Mrs. Mary Jane Busch, Phoenix, Arizona, and Mrs. Delmar (Carolyn) Niemann, Apple River; six step-children, including Kathryn Smith at home, 26 grandchildren; five step-granchildren; two brothers, Herbert of Stockton and Theodore of Lincoln, IL.; and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Hess of Stockton.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Arnold G. Raabe, past of Christ Lutheran church, officiated. Herbert Hill sang "In the Garden" and "Beyond the Sunset", Mrs. Clyde Hermann accompanying. Burial was in the Ladies Union cemetery, casket bearers being Manual Arnold, Jack Schutt, Burrell Bradshaw, Charles Breed, Glenn Mapes and Gardia Hodgen.
