The remains of James Breen, who died at his home in Dubuque last Monday morning, arrived in this city on the 8:46 Central train and were taken directly to the East Side Catholic cemetery where interment was made. Mr. Breen was a native of Galena and spent the earlier part of his life here, where he leaves a number of relatives and friends to mourn his untimely death. He had seen but 26 years of life. He was a young man of good character, an affectionate and dutiful son, and was the pride and comfort of his widowed mother. Besides his mother he leaves four brothers and two sisters, Dan, William, John and Maurice, and Mrs. Kiley and Mrs. Williams.
