Death of J. G. Mahany

Word Received of His Demise in Chicago

Interment Will be Made in Galena

J. G. Mahany died Sunday morning at his home in Chicago. His wife was formerly Miss Eleanor Morrison of this city, and he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Preston, wife of Dr. Preston, New York; Miss Eleanor, Chicago, Mrs. Harlow A. Venable, Grand Forks, N. D., and Mrs. Harry Tillotson, Chicago.

The body will arrive in Galena Tuesday night at ten o'clock. Funeral services will be held in the chapel in Greenwood cemetery Wednesday morning at ten o'clock.

Funeral of J. G. Mahany Held

Services Held in Felt Memorial Chapel at Greenwood Cemetery

The body of J. G. Mahany arrived last night from Chicago and was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Venable on Prospect street. This morning services were held in the Felt Memorial chapel at Greenwood cemetery. A quartet composed of the Misses Harriet E. Manuell, Fern Greene and H. L. Hammill and R. A. Bratton sang several hymns. Rev. Truman R. Greene of the Methodist Episcopal church, officiated. The pall bearers were S. J. Hughlett, C. E. Asmus, J. Jackson, B. F. Meusel, C. W. Grove and Charles Stephenson. Interment was made in Greenwood cemetery. Those from out of the city who attended the funeral were Mrs. J. Preston, New York City, N. Y.; Mrs. Harlow Venable and daughter, Grand Forks, N. D.; Miss Eleanor Mahany and Dr. Harry Tillotson, Chicago.
