Lawrence Folk Rites Slated for Friday

Lawrence I. Folk, 90, passed away Wednesday morning at 10:45 at the Sunny Hill Home where he had been a patient for the last two years.

He was born in Johnstown, Pa., and came to Galena as a young man. For many years he followed the occupation of blacksmith in Galena and Dubuque.

He was married to the former Mary Casserly, who with his parents and a number of brothers, preceded him in death several years ago. Mr. Folk is survived by two nephews, both of Springfield, Ill.

Friends may call at the Furlong Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. from the Furlong Chapel to St. Mary's Church at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be made in the family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery.
