Funeral Held Here Tuesday For Bowden


ROSS LOGAN

Ross Logan, 92, of Stockton, formerly of Elizabeth, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 1984 at Freeport Memorial Hospital.

Born March 17, 1892 in Derinda Township, he was the son of Evan and Austie(Snodgrass)Logan. He married Mattie Lloyd on June 4, 1919 in Woodbine. She died Oct. 18, 1967.

For many years, he operated Logan's Variety Store in Elizabeth. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Calvery United Methodist Church in Stockton and the Stockton American Legion Post.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Gwendolynn) Mapes of Stockton; a brother, Hugh of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Glenn (Essie) Kaufman of New Richland, Minn.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Services were held Dec. 11 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Elizabeth with the Rev. Marjorie Drickey, pastor of Calvery United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Elizabeth Cemetry
