Former Superintendent of Schools Buried Here

Philip H. Clark, a former Galenian, passed away Saturday morning at his home, 513 Gore Boulevard, Lawton, Okla., after a short illness.

Mr. Clark, a former superintendent of the Galena city schools, is survived by his wife, the former Loretta J. Mahoney; a son, Atty. Edward J. Clark, Oklahoma City, Okla.; two brothers, J E. Clark, Savanna; Louis S. Clark, San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Genevieve Clark of Galena; a nephew, Dr. R. N. Clark, Rockford; two nieces, Mrs. A. J. Nesbitt of Savanna and Mrs. Linwood Brown of San Diego, Calif.

The body arrived in Galena Tuesday evening and was removed to the Furlong Chapel Home where services were held Wednesday morning at 9:30 with Rev. R. A. Horner officiating, and interment was made in St. Michael’s cemetery.
