Well Known Resident of Galena Dies at Home on West Street Tuesday Morning

Patrick McCarthy, 88 years of age, died at his home on West street Tuesday evening January 29, at 11:30 o'clock of infirmities due to an advanced age. Mr. McCarthy was born in Ireland and came to America when very young, he having resided in Galena for 60 years. He was united in marriage to Miss Ella McManus who preceded him in death 18 years ago.

The funeral will be held Friday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the house, and 9 o'clock at St. Michael's Catholic church where Requiem High Mass will be celebrated. Interment will be made in St. Michael's cemetery on the East Side.
