Man Drowned at Elizabeth

A man by the name of Secord, was drowned at Elizabeth Saturday night. He had been in town n the afternoon and purchased a sack of flour and a quarter of pork, and started for home in Weston; in crossing Apple River he broke through and was drowned-the ice being but an inch thick where he undertook to cross. His hat was found Sunday morning floating, and on dragging the river his body was recovered. He leaves a wife and nine children without means of support.---Advertiser
