Death of William Feeley

Respected Galena Resident Dies at Home on Spring Street

William Feeley, a well known and respected Galena citizen, died at his home on Spring street at 3:10 o’clock this morning, death being due to Bright’s disease. Mr. Feeley was up and around until two weeks ago when he was taken seriously ill, during which time he was given the best of care by loving hands.

He is survived by three brothers and three sisters namely, Daniel, Michael and George, Miss Hannah, Mrs. Al Haser and Miss Agnes, all of Galena. Two brothers and one sister, John, Jerry and Mary preceded him in death.

The decedent was of Catholic faith and died with the last rites of the church. He was a miner by occupation and for many years worked in and around Galena. Mr. Feeley was a man of strong personality, with a happy and jovial disposition and had numerous friends throughout the city who will learn with sorrow of his death.

Funeral Monday Morning

Funeral services will be held Monday morning from the family home on Spring street to St. Michael’s church at nine o’clock where Requiem Mass will be solemnized. Interment in East Side cemetery.
