This small destroyed cemetery is located in the eastern part of Scales Mound township near Stagecoach Trail. Older people in the community remember a small church or chapel standing on the site and it is thought that there are some 50 to 60 burials here.A small group of people, led by Joanne Schultz, have been working at Bethel Cemetery to unearth stones and conduct general clean-up. Transcriptions of headstones will be added to this page as they are found.
