I am searching for the parents of the following people: 1)Martin BAUTSCH, born in Poland/Prussia in 1788 and died 1855 in Elizabeth, Jo Daviess Co, Ill. 2)His wife: Johanna HANCHELL born 8 May 1800 in Germany, died 1875 in same place. Their son, Frank BAUTSCH born in Breslau, Prussia (Poland) married Mary Ann DATERS. 3)John Bernard LAMPE(A) born 12 April 1803 in Hannover, Germany. 4)His wives: 1)Mary Ann DATERS born 1810 in Hannover 2)Elizabeth SCHULTZ born abt 1815 his daughters:Teresa LAMPE b 1836, Elizabeth LAMPE b. 1847, Catherine LAMPE b. 1838 Please contact me if you have any information regarding their parents or their birthplaces in Germany..

Nehemiah VANMETER was in the McDonald area of JoDaviess county according to the 1840 Mining District Census. Can someone help me locate this area? I can't find a current town called McDonald. I am trying to find the identity of sn older woman living with them, possibly Nehemiah's mother, by loacating a will, probate, grave etc. from the 1840's in this area.

I am in search of any information on Caroline GARRETT, she was the daughter of Hiram and Sarah (ROBERTS) GARRETT. She was born abt 1825 in Burksville, Cumberland County, KY. She married Calvin WOOD on September 16, 1841 in Jo Davies County. Caroline was the sister of Rosa Diana, Harriet, Emeline and Job. I would like any contact or information on this couple

Hi, My gg uncle, (Harry) LeRoy HEER who was the #12 son of David and Martha HEER of East Galena, married Myrtle RENWICK in about 1914. They had one son, Robert RENWICK HEER who married Mary Jane POAD. They lived in Excelsior, MN. I believe that he died in about 1994. In Jo Daviess county, I am aware of a St. John's Lutheran Church that used to be located on Elizabeth-Scales Mound Road (it has since moved to Apple River). This isn't exactly close to Massbach - it is about 30 miles away I'd say, but it's a possibility? The membership of St. John's merged with that of Shepherd of the Hills Lutherhan Church in Schapville back in the 1950s or 60s I believe.
