Fair Autumn Brides

McMahon - Holtz

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holtz was the scene of a pretty and auspicious wedding Wednesday evening when their daughter, Miss Annie M. Holtz, and Mr. George M. McMahon took the nuptial rites. Rev. John Klindworth, pastor of St. Matthew's Lutheran church, performed the ceremony in the presence a large company of invited guests; among whom were a number from Dubuque. The parlors were decorated with golden rod. The bride was attired in a gown of light tinted silk, and was attended by Miss Amelia Klockow. Mr. Henry Conoughy officiated as best man.

A reception and wedding feast followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. McMahon have begun housekeeping on Bouthillier street, where he erected a handsome new residence this summer. He is engineer of the Stroebel-Wolfram shoe factory and is a deserving and reliable young man. His bride is a member of a well known family and possesses admirable qualities which have surrounded her with devoted friends.
