Juli Humbert-Droz, wife of Louis Chetlain, was born 5 Dec. 1799
in Switzerland, and died 27 Oct. 1887 in Galena.
The picture was taken circa 1863 in Galena by E. W. Pierce, Photographer.
The Chetlain's left Switzerland to settle in the Red River Colony in Canada.
After two years there, they moved on to St. Louis and then to Galena in 1824.
